Cheesman Park’s recreation and family entertainment offerings are unparalleled. With its expansive namesake park located in the heart of the neighborhood, residents have easy access to shaded walkways, gardens, open green space, and a neoclassical pavilion.

The neighborhood is also home to the 24-acre Denver Botanic Gardens, a draw for nearby families as well as visitors from across the region.

The park and botanic gardens were once the home to Mount Prospect Cemetery, founded in 1858.
